If I show you my scars,
would you heal them with a kiss,
or push them deeper
with a malicious laugh?

If I made love to you with my words,
will your eyes drink them in
and your heart remember them forever,
or will you bat them away like flies? -
poetry was never your thing.

If I tattooed your name upon my heart,
would you do the same,
or call me foolish, naive?
